Responsibilities

As the Fund Manager for the Department of Medicine – Division of Infectious Diseases, you will be responsible for overseeing active and complex research accounts, and manage all pre and post-award fund activities for approximately 10-15 principal investigators. Duties include:

Preparation of financial reports, account reconciliations for PI specific accounts, and monitor status of PI startup, retention and various commitments
Meet with PI to review monthly reports and update changes in projections and expenses
Provide advance data extraction and compilation trend analysis for executive level decision support and strategic planning
Assist the MSO with annual department budget and provide technical support by running queries and compiling data

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of faculty, physicians, principal investigators, staff, fellows, and the public in a cooperative manner, including members of EFM, OCGA, general accounting, and funding agencies
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

PREFERRED:
Skill in financial analysis, planning, preparation, and administration of a budget with multiple complex funding sources
Experience in post-award research administration, including fund close-out
Demonstrated expertise in proposal pre-award submission process
Skill in navigating through Query Data Base (QDB) and Payroll System (UCPath)
Working knowledge of University, NIH, and other major awarding agencies' grants restrictions and requirements
Ability to prepare financial reports and correspondence, including cost management analysis to correlate resources with divisional programmatic needs
